Empathy was the first ever collaboration between all the units in 2018. It not only brought different sides of the fandom together, it as well had 18 members coming together for the stage performances. The album has a set of iconic songs that have embedded themselves into the fandom and the “neo” sound fans have grown to love.
FireTruck was the beginning of an era. Although NCTU began the start of NCT as a whole, their debut was a single named “The 7th Sense.” FireTruck was the first mini album made from a set unit. Establishing this RnB sound that is reminiscent of 90s POP as well as mixing in hyperpop elements along with house.
NCT Dream debuted their single “Chewing Gum” displaying a level of innocence and childhood in their music. A bubblegum pop song about a crush that is like chewing gum. They later released their first single album, displaying them in a teenage school boy aesthetic. “My First and Last” got NCT their first ever win in any award show in February 14, 2017. Remarking it as a joyous album and celebration for the fandom.
WayV’s first ever album! They marked their journey in January 17, 2019. They were initially named NCT V, but because of political tension, they were named WayV instead. Covering the iconic “Regular” by NCT127 in Chinese, WayV established themselves as powerful singers in a fandom that is forever eyeing anyone to slip up.
NCT Wish debuted in 2023 with their debut song “Hands Up!” They then redebuted in February 28, 2024 with the single “Wish” along with their album “Steady.” NCT Wish has found themselves in hot water within the fandom for their survival program that none of the fandom wanted. However, slowly but surely more and more fans are coming around to them. Their album concepts so far have helped with that.
